Why #flow?

Flow is such an inspiring guide for me. When life gets overwhelming my tendency is to go into self-protection mode and it can take a while before I start to soften again. One of the ways I come back to flow is by noticing my breath.

So, one of the first things I do when I’m aware that I’m stressed is place a hand on my body. I wait till I can feel the warmth of my hand passing through the top layers of my skin and just breathe into that warm melty sensation by taking long slow inhales and exhales.

This is one of the first reasons I’ve chosen flow to be our guide in the upcoming classes because noticing breath flow is one of the ways I come back to being more feeling, more soft, more gentle. Being in flow is an ideal place for me to be creative and knowing how to induce flow helps with my creative process immensely.

What ways are you at your best creatively? How do you prepare yourself to create? How are you different when you are creating?
