About Me

“Lisa is very expressive, getting clients out of their shell and laughing. She has a great personality.”

-Turning Point Recovery Society

Hi, I am Lisa owner of Creative Voice. Since graduating from UBC in 1992, the opportunity to become a professional actor found me and I made my way across Canada to work in the Theatre. In over 20 years experience of being an actor, I have developed a deep respect for the artistic process.

In 2011, I graduated from York University with an MFA in Acting and began teaching voice for actors. As a teacher of voice, I have worked at several after-school academies, the Vancouver Film School and created the initial Voice and Movement program for On The Mic Training. My teaching style is playfully informed by theatre games, Pochinko clowning, archetype explorations, embodiment practices like yin yoga and meditation, and vocal play.

In 2023, I graduated the Expressive Arts Therapy program at Langara College in Vancouver, BC. My practicums were situated in palliative and senior care, developmental disability, and addiction recovery.

I am presently a member of Ontario Expressive Arts Therapy Association.

I am also a weaver. Find my weavings here.

Lisa provided a lot of variety of creative activities and provided support to clients who were struggling.
